Silas Munro, an acclaimed artist, designer, writer, and curator, will deliver the keynote address for the Teach In on Equity.

Munro is a multifaceted artist renowned for his innovative contributions to the field. As the founder of Polymode, a graphic design studio that emphasizes LGBTQ+ and minority perspectives, Munro has worked with clients across various cultural spheres. His curation and authorship of "Strikethrough: Typographic Messages of Protest" at Letterform Archive in 2022–2023, along with his involvement in projects like "W. E. B. Du Bois’s Data Portraits" and "Black Design in America," highlight his commitment to inclusive design practices.

Currently serving as the faculty co-chair for the MFA Program in graphic design at the Vermont College of Fine Arts, Munro brings a wealth of expertise to the Teach-In on Equity Series.

Munro will deliver his lecture in the University Hall Screening Room on Tuesday, March 5 from 6-7 pm. Following the lecture, a reception will be held in the Lunder Arts Center to celebrate Munro's exhibit currently on display until March 8
