Commonthought Magazine Commonthought Magazine Commonthought is a celebration of the creative endeavors of Lesley University. Featuring the work of students, faculty, and alumni alike, this student-run publication is produced each fall by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ Magazine Production class. Within its pages, you'll find poetry, fiction, and nonfiction alongside photography, illustrations, and more. History of Commonthought First published in 1989 under the title, The Open Door, the magazine became Womanthought in 1990, then Commonthought in 1993. Faculty editors have included Dr. Anne Elezabeth Pluto, Jennifer Flescher, and E. Christopher Clark. Send in a submission! Commonthought is open to submissions from September through late November of each year at this link. Associated Course CCRWT 2430 - Magazine Production In CCRWT 2430, students will workshop and edit creative work: fiction, poetry, scripts, essays, of their own, as well as the submissions for Commonthought. Students will develop a supportive critical approach in the workshop atmosphere, sharpen their editing skills, learn layout, choose artwork, and assume leadership/editorial roles for the publication of Commonthought.
